Tamil Nadu: 931 Items related to Vaigai river civilization excavated in phase six.

Madurai (Tamil Nadu) [India], September 30 : Tamil Nadu Archeological Department has uncovered 913 things in Sivaganga area during the 6th period of unearthings intended to investigate the Vaigai waterway human advancement. 



A mud oven (in Manalur), earthenware seal, cows bones, skeletons, scales, 10 pots (in Kondagai), blades, a gold coin, bowl-like logs, Chinese ceramics, and a smoker in addition to other things were recuperated from four areas - Keeladi, Agaram, Kondagai and Manalur in Sivaganga locale during stage six that finished Wednesday. 


The stage six unearthings, which began from February 19, were suspended for 57 days from March 24 to May 19 due to the COVID-19-actuated lockdown, other than 10 days as of late because of downpour. 


The Tamil Nadu government assumed control over the deliberate archeological unearthings in the state from the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) a year ago, fourth stage onwards. 


Aside from the Keeladi group in Sivaganga, the unearthings are being done at Sivagalai and Adichachanallur in Thoothukudi area and Kodumanal in Erode. Up until now, 15,451 things have been recuperated by the ASI and the state office. The Tamil Nadu State Department of Archeology has revealed 7,633 things, including instruments and a 21-layer ring great.
